The MATUTA LAN-Adapter upgrades the aquaristic computers “Aquastar“, “Pondpilot” and “Poolpilot“ by IKS with a network interface. All other matuta products like cables and displays can be combined with it at will. Interventions in the existing hardware are not required.
The configuration of the MATUTA LAN-Adapter with a bundled software (windows compatible) enables even lay people to link it in their private network easily and fast.
The original interface of these aquaristic computers is a so-called RS232 interface, also often termed just “com interface”, which do not feature in many new computers. Often USB – RS232 converters are used.
Regardless of the solution selected here now, there is a disadvantage for every solution. A larger distance between the PC and the aquaristic computer could be implemented only with big hardware input and corresponding costs, which is a problem for pond owners. The software aquasSoft by IKS been supporting the direct linking via TCP/IP networks to these adapter.
